The city of Blue Sky was peaceful and full of glee, until that one day where everything changed. Clarisse(Nick named Yoki) and her uncle Lucas live together in his dojo. Lucas taught many different fighting styles: Kung fu, Karate, Martial Arts, Tai Kung Do, Wrestling…you name it, he teaches it. The ground floor is the dojo and the three floors above are Lucas’s apartment. Lucas takes pride of his dojo and takes amazing care of it. Because of this it’s very clean and maintains its high quality environment. Because of Lucas knowing such a diverse amount of fighting styles it’s extremely popular and many residents of Blue Sky go there, especially after THAT day…But back to the two. Lucas taught Yoki everything she knows since she was little. She lives with her uncle because her Mom and Dad went missing one day and her uncle took her in. Yoki and Lucas had such a strong bond that you can’t even describe it with words. Yoki loves Luc
Skysavers Chapter oneSkysavers
“Yoki! Its morning, time to wake up!” Yelled Lucas, Yoki’s uncle who was quite in a hurry this morning. She opened her eyes, jumped out of bed, got dressed and brushed her teeth. This week had been pretty good and a little quiet. For the past few days gangs haven’t done much to Yoki’s neighborhood. It was suspicious. Even though some are relaxing and not worrying about gangs until the right time, they fail to realize that during times like these their guard should be higher, not lower. But as always the local guilds are on patrol and that is why some of these people think its ok to let their guard down. One piece of common sense in this city is that even thought you may have the best guilds to help protect you, you shouldn’t depend on them so much that you go around without a strong weapon or no weapon at all(which is against the law anyway…unless you are not of age, then you need someone with a weapon with you all time
Skysavers Chapter twoSkysavers
On their way to school Yoki, Muku, Muyo, and Poyo were running as fast as the wind. “I don’t think we’ll make it in time!!” Poyo cried. “Guys stop for a second!” Muyo yelled. They stopped. “It seems we need to do something other than walking.” “Like what?” Yoki asked. Muyo then got out his skateboard and Muku got her roller-skates on. “Well Muku and I are set. You two need to get bikes or something. We’ll take the shortcut to school like we always do in times like this.” “But it goes through the street with the most gangs in it! We only used it a few times!” Poyo stammered. “It’s our only chance of getting there in time. Besides: You’re still here right?” Muku asked. “I am still here…” He said softly in a sad tone. “It’s ok Poyo; remember we’ll be here for you if you run into trouble with gangs.” Poyo
Skysavers Chapter threeSkysavers
Yoki and Poyo began pedaling their bikes as fast as they could in panic. “If all the gangs on 45th street are going to invade our school they won’t stand a chance!” Poyo exclaimed. “Listen Poyo, we need to inform the guilds about this. I’ll go to the school while you inform the guilds that take care of this street! We need to hurry, time is of the essence!!” Yoki ordered. Poyo nodded confidently and took a right turn into the next street.
It wasn’t long until Yoki finally reached her school. And gee, it was a mess! The windows had spray paint on them while the cans were all over the floor, there was quite a bit of litter and gang members were patrolling the areas. Yoki quickly and quietly got off her bike and sneaked behind a bush. To her surprise Muku and Muyo were hiding there too. “Do you see what I see?!” Muku whispered quietly. “Yeah, this looks like a full-scale ambush.
Skysavers Chapter four-Chapter four-
“I just can’t believe it!!!” Yoki yelled as her fists banged on to the table, and tears from her eyes dropped onto her napkin. Yoki, Lucas, Muku, Muyo, and Poyo went out to eat at the local diner. “Yoki, I know this is too much for you to bear but sadly we must move on,” Lucas explained. “The guilds are going to rebuild our dojo and replace the equipment.” “Can the guilds replace our many memoires we all had in that dojo!?!?” Yoki screamed. The other four were silent. It looked like Yoki was making a scene, but everyone there eating knew her well and felt sorry for her and Lucas. “Your uncle is right.” Muku said. “We need to move on, no matter how hard this is.” “I just can’t move on! Those gangs aren’t getting away THAT easy…When I’m done with them they’ll be put through h-” Yoki then stopped in her tracks and just began looking out the window instead
Skysavers Chapter fiveSkysavers
In the darker streets of Blue Sky a young boy; he was probably fifteen, was running somewhere. He had the bandages of a Cat-back gang member, but of beginner ranks. He was dashing through the darkest alleys of the city to deliver a message. After a while he went down to an abandoned subway transit. This place held the hidden entrance to the Cat-back gang’s headquarters that is hidden from the rest of the city. Only the gang members know of its existence. The boy knocked on a metal door with a small hole for someone’s eyes to see what or who is outside. Two brown eyes looked through the hole and asked in a cold tone: “What’s the password?” The boy rapidly did a bunch of hand symbols that made up the password that was asked for. The door opened swiftly and another fellow member opened was seen. He had the bandages of a guard. “Welcome, brother Shau.” The guard said. Shau walked in and the door was closed as fast as it was
Skysavers Chapter sixSkysavers
Lucas was sitting at the same rooftop where the Yoki, Muku, Muyo, and Poyo decided to form a guild together. He was staring at the sky with a depressed look in his eyes. “How can I tell Yoki about-” Lucas was saying to himself until suddenly Yoki walked out of the rooftop entrance and sat on a crate next to the uncle she cared so much about. “What’s wrong uncle?” Yoki asked. “It’s about the dojo…” He began. “Uncle, you don’t need to worry, the guilds are fixing the dojo for us.” Lucas was silent. “…Right?” Yoki whispered. “I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is: The guilds are going to repair the dojo.” “So what’s the bad news uncle?” “The bad news is: They can’t start until next week.” Lucas sighed. Yoki began to look disappointed, but she stopped. She didn’t want to make her uncle more worried than h
